Produced in the highlands of Los Altos and distilled in Jalisco, the heart of tequila country, Avión Reposado differs in its production in several ways from a lot of other tequilas. To earn the distinction “reposado”, tequilas must be aged for a minimum of two months. Avión Reposado, however, is aged for six months (three times the requirement), and as a result, has a light amber colour along with an aroma of fire-roasted agaves and rosemary.Avión Reposado is handcrafted using only the Agave grown at the highest altitude due to the region’s topography and its soil’s rich mineral content which lends a distinct quality and character to the spirit. The secret behind the exceptionally smooth taste profile of Avión Reposado begins with slow roasting of the agave in traditional brick ovens. Followed by our unique small-batch distillation process and culminates with a proprietary filtering method coined ‘ultra-slow filtration’, during which the robust flavours become firmly set to the Avión Reposado Master Distiller’s specifications. We call this the “moment of elevation”.Avión Reposado carries a light wheat straw gold and crystal clear body. The tasting notes declare roasted agave presence, notes of cherry, pear, peach, and flower hues of rose petals. On the nose, Avión Reposado offers a more roasted agave aroma with pleasant notes of oak and vanilla.Avión Reposado is best enjoyed on its own in a proper Riedel tequila glass.
